RUNNEX (“we”, “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to handling your personal information responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected and how it is used when you visit the RUNNEX website (runnex.in) or submit a request to join the RUNNEX Founding Runners waitlist.

What data do we collect? — Plain-language summary

• You provide: When joining our waitlist, you provide your name, email address, city, and optional running frequency. If you email our support team, you share whatever details you include in your message.
• Your browser may send: Standard technical request data (such as IP address, browser user-agent, and request timestamp) processed by our hosting and security provider (Cloudflare) to deliver web pages and protect against malicious traffic. We do not use non-essential or tracking cookies.
• We use it for: Administering your waitlist spot, notifying you when RUNNEX early access opens in your city, responding to your questions, and protecting our service against abuse.
• We share it with: Only essential hosting and infrastructure providers operating this website and waitlist (Cloudflare for delivery and edge routing; Supabase for secure database storage). We do not sell or license your personal information to third parties.
• Your choices: You can request access, corrections, or complete removal of your waitlist data at any time by emailing [email protected].

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide the website and manage waitlist registrations. Based on our current website implementation, this includes:

• Waitlist Form Submissions: When you voluntarily submit our waitlist form, we collect your Full Name, Email Address, City (selected from our rollout city options: Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, or Other), and optional Running Frequency (e.g., Just getting started, 1–2 times a week, 3–4 times a week, or 5+ times a week). We do not collect phone numbers, passwords, payment cards, or sensitive personal data on this website.
• Support Inquiries: Any information you choose to include when contacting our support desk at [email protected], including your name, email address, and message content.
• Technical and Network Information: When you connect to our website, our hosting and CDN edge infrastructure (Cloudflare Pages and Cloudflare Workers) automatically processes technical request headers, including your IP address, browser type and version (user-agent), referring URL, and request timestamps. This processing is strictly necessary for network routing, TLS encryption, and DDoS mitigation.
• Cookies and Local Storage: Our public website does not currently use cookies for analytics, advertising, or visitor tracking, nor do we store user tracking tokens in browser localStorage or sessionStorage. See our Cookie Policy for complete details.

2. Why We Use Information

We use the information we collect solely for verified operational purposes:

• Waitlist Administration: To register your interest, allocate priority rollout spots, and communicate beta testing invitations and app availability in your city.
• Geographic Planning: To analyze city-level runner interest so we can prioritize server clusters and community running loops in areas with active runner demand.
• Customer Support: To answer inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and honor data access or deletion requests sent to our support email.
• Service Security & Reliability: To detect, investigate, and prevent automated spam submissions, fraudulent activity, bot attacks, and infrastructure abuse.

Waitlist updates vs. promotional marketing: Communications sent to waitlist members are strictly operational notices regarding your waitlist request, early testing invitations, and launch status. We do not currently operate general marketing newsletters. If we introduce optional marketing campaigns in the future, we will request separate, unbundled opt-in consent.

3. How Waitlist Submissions Are Handled

When you click "Get me on the list", your form submission is transmitted securely over HTTPS to our edge API endpoint (/v1/waitlist). If the submission is verified and successfully recorded in our database, a confirmation state is displayed.

If the backend database is temporarily unreachable or an error occurs, the website displays an explicit connection warning rather than a fabricated success message. Joining the waitlist is an expression of interest and does not guarantee early access, an invitation, or a specific launch date.

If you ever wish to cancel your waitlist registration, simply email [email protected] with the subject "Waitlist Removal" and we will delete your record.

4. Service Providers and Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or monetize your personal data. We disclose your information only to vetted third-party service providers who assist us in operating our public website and waitlist infrastructure:

• Cloudflare: Cloudflare provides our global Content Delivery Network (CDN), Cloudflare Pages static web hosting, and Cloudflare Workers edge API routing. Cloudflare processes network requests to deliver content securely and protect against cyberattacks.
• Supabase: Supabase provides managed PostgreSQL cloud database hosting with row-level security and encryption at rest to store waitlist submissions securely.
• Google Fonts: Web fonts (Anton and Manrope) are loaded from Google's content distribution network to render our typography.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain waitlist information only for the duration of the pre-launch and early rollout phases, or until you request that we remove your information. We do not keep your information longer than necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, unless required by applicable law or security audit obligations.

You have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, request corrections if your information is inaccurate, or request complete deletion of your waitlist record. To submit a request, contact our team at [email protected] from the email address you used when joining the waitlist. We will process your request promptly.

6. Information Security

We implement reasonable and appropriate technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal data from accidental loss, unauthorized access, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. All web traffic between your browser and our servers is encrypted using modern Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS). Database access is strictly restricted through authenticated environment credentials and least-privilege access rules.

Please note, however, that no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

The RUNNEX website and waitlist are intended for general adult audiences and individuals who are at least 18 years old (or the applicable age of majority in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that personal information of a minor has been submitted through the waitlist without verified parental authorization, we will take steps to promptly remove such information from our records.
